All signs are pointing to a transport revolution

Sustainability is our priority. For more than 20 years, for example, our vehicle washing facilities have been operated using rainwater that is reused up to ten times. Add to this electromobility and hydrogen-based mobility, production facilities for green hydrogen, a photovoltaic plant and the offsetting of all carbon emissions produced in connection with transporting Swiss Post shipments and those of its subsidiaries since 2020.

In addition to all-electric vehicles, hydrogen is an indispensable source of energy when it comes to the logistics mobility revolution, particularly for longer journeys. The move towards replacing fossil fuels with hydrogen is a major opportunity for our industrial site and will most certainly guarantee our competitiveness in the future.
This is why we have expanded our fleet with a state-of-the-art Hyundai XCIENT Fuel Cell hydrogen-powered lorry.

The use of all-electric commercial vehicles requires traffic-related planning. That is why we prefer to use the vehicles for regional and local transport as well as scheduled liner traffic. This often requires a close alliance with our customers in order to use their own battery charging infrastructure as well.

Everyone’s talking about it – we’ve already taken action: electric cars as the future of vehicle mobility.

In keeping with the motto of all or nothing, we have also made changes to our cars. Consequently, we have bypassed the hybrid versions and have been exclusively acquiring all-electric vehicles since 2022.
