As of December 2022, we are an official member of the Baden-Württemberg Climate Alliance. We have set ourselves the target of reducing our total greenhouse gas emissions by at least 2,300 tonnes of CO2e by 2032 compared to the base year of 2020 on our road to climate neutrality.

Goals:

We have set ourselves the target of reducing our total greenhouse gas emissions by at least 2,300 tonnes of CO2e by 2032 compared to the base year of 2020 on our road to climate neutrality. This corresponds to around a 46 percent reduction in greenhouse gases, which is divided amongst Scope 1, 2 and 3:

Scope 1 and 2
reduction by at least 2,000 tonnes of CO2e. This corresponds to about a 50 percent decrease in greenhouse gases.

Scope 3
Reduction by at least 300 tonnes of CO2e. This corresponds to about a 30 percent decrease in greenhouse gases.

Measures

Vehicle fleet

• Verstärkter Einsatz von H₂-LKW und Elektrofahrzeugen.

Scope 2

Electricity

• Creation of a photovoltaic plante.
• Conversion of existing courtyard lighting to LED bulbs.
• Conversion of additional existing lights to LED lighting.
• LED lighting, optimum insulation and photovoltaics to be pushed at new buildings/extensions at existing worksites.

Heating

• Switchover from gas central heating to an energy-saving variety.

Scope 3

Commuter traffic

• Options will be considered as to how employees can commute to work in a carbon-neutral way.
• Work bike or option to form carpools.

Business trips

• Business trips will become more carbon-neutral.

Waste

• Minimisation of generated waste
• Optimisation of transport to recycle/dispose of waste.
