Reliable and emission-free

The use of fully electric commercial vehicles requires exact planning of transport operations. We will therefore use them for regional and local transport and scheduled services. This often requires a close alliance
with our customers in order to use their charging infrastructure.

Our two 7.49 tonne BAX lorries support loads of over 2,900 kg. The reason for this abundant load capacity is not found in special lightweight assemblies but in the drive concept. The eTransport electric axle drive weighs less than an electric central drive with its gearbox and drive shaft but provides the same degree of power. Its two motors direct force to the wheels via planetary gears, whereby the rotational movement of the motors also corresponds to the axle rotation. BPW estimates the output at two 50 kW, or 136 hp. Two 3,290 Nm for the wheels mean an increase of up to 20 percent when fully loaded.

Thanks to a 100 kW DC charge from 20 to 80 percent in 72 minutes, the vehicle provides sufficient flexibility for use in city logistics.

The charging infrastructure remains to be improved:
We are currently planning to provide charging stations for between 10 and 20 electric vehicles both in Villingen and at our Aldingen site. In order to prevent the on-site electricity network from struggling under this demand, new substations are planned for both sites.

The future of freight transport lies in hybrid vehicles that use both fuel cells and electric, battery-powered motors.

We will continue to drive the conversion of our own fleet.

In addition to support from the town of Villingen-Schwenningen, we are also supported by local public utility companies, energy providers and consultancy firms.

We are committed to investing further in the topic of sustainability. It is clear to the mid-sized sector that economy and ecology are interrelated.
